Ruby Skye, Spundae and Opel Productions present
Lot49 Album Launch tour

featuring Lee Coombs

(leecoombs.co.uk, myspace.com/leecoombs, lot49.co.uk)

Coombs kick-started his DJing career in the late 80s, producing his first track under the guise of The Invisible Men. By ‘91 he went on to found Paradise Records, Pumpin’ Vinyl and the cult electro Zoid and Thrust series before moving to London where a chance meeting with Finger Lickin’ label boss, Justin Rushmore, led to Lee being taken into the fold, his acid-angled productions giving him a float all of his own. His DJ sets, which often see him down at Fabric and Bugged Out! or flying over to New York’s Vinyl and LA’s Spundae club, reflect his musical milieu with influences colliding from all directions.

LEE COOMBS BIOGRAPHY:
Bending boundaries and ignoring the status quo – where would the Breakbeat scene be today without Lee Coombs. For over a decade this British producer has been at the forefront of it all; releasing groundbreaking mix CDs, remixing the world’s most acclaimed artists and knocking out dancefloor destroying productions that are considered classics years after their release. A seasoned veteran, Coombs first hit the DJ slopes in 1989, bathing himself in the acid house scene at parties around London and Cambridge. Crucial in shaping his all-encompassing approach to DJing and production, this boundary-less approach would become Coombs’ trademark, mixing up breaks, house, electro, techno and acid with dexterous assurance.

SYD GRIS BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Syd Gris. A renaissance man of the SF dance music community, Syd was recently again voted one of the top 10 djs in San Francisco. He is the founder and leader of the Opulent Temple, one of the premiere sound stages at the Burning Man festival, as well as one of the organizers of the San Francisco LoveFest, (formerly Loveparade San Francisco). He heads up his own production company in San Francisco under the name Opel Productions, with a mission to throw ‘conscious parties with purpose’. His musical tastes and dj talents are as diverse as his interests, being able to move in a number of worlds like few in the SF dance music scene.
