LA Shorts Film Fest
L.A. Shorts Fest Gets A.D.D. on Film

The 13th Annual L.A. Shorts Festival begins Thursday, July 23. During the opening evening event, ask featured speaker Scarlett Johansson silly questions about directing Kevin Bacon in her new movie These Vagabond Shoes. The rest of the week is full of workshops and coffee-talks that may or may not help aspiring film people, as well as an array of movies, both mainstream and offbeat - such as We Love You, a documentary about Rainbow Gatherings, the yearly, secretive festival in the woods - like Burning Man, among trees (7/27). What of this film We Were Once A Fairytale, written and directed by Spike Jonze, starring Kanye West (7/29)? Check out the teaser:

“What happened to you last night? umm... I don't know. where did you go? we waited for you for a while? I don't know...I don't really want to talk about it. where did you end up? I said I didn't want to talk about it....my head hurts. I'm gonna go lay down.”

GetWize: Visit the schedule to see all the movies screening up through July 30, when the L.A. Shorts Fest wraps. Tickets range from $12 to $225 for the Top Dog All Access Pass. The festival takes place at Laemmle Sunset 5 Theaters at at the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Crescent Heights. 8000 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood.
