1015 Folsom is one of two venues in San Francisco that have been consistently booking big name DJ talent for the last decade, Ruby Skye being the other one. Don't let it's nondescript exterior fool you, there's a four room, 1000+ club venue inside where some of the city's best events happen.

1015 Folsom's only drawback has been their ability to attract a consistent crowd that gives clubbers a sense of continuity. Some nights at the club are 100% Asian. Beautiful women, good vibes and an audience that appreciates electronica. That said, some people come to a club and expect a little more diversity. One of the best promoters in the city, An-ten-nae, puts on a Burning Man-esque, eclectic event called Get Freaky. These parties bring in an equally cool crown of beautiful Burners, with glitch driven sounds and unique performances. While also a good time, it's a polar opposite vibe to the usual scene. The lesson here is, check the calendar. No matter who you are, you'll likely have a good time.

The club itself has a main room that couldn't contain any more lights, effects or speakers. The sound system is bumpin' and DJ booth set-up is one of the best in the city. Everybody from Adam Freeland, Prefuse 73, and Bassnectur to house legends like DJ Dan, Stacey Pullen and Eric Morillo has played here. Year's ago, the basement of 1015, had Sunday party called Spundae. This small weekly event was the catalyst for what is today one of the largest promoters on the West Coast. During the dot com boom, Community was a regularly running party on Wednesday nights where many 9 to 5ers would party till 6AM, shower and go to work on Thursday. Today, the basement is a glitsy neon room, the upstairs area is another party space and the front room has a huge circle bar with booths and a huge dancefloor. Over the years 1015 Folsom has come to mean a lot of different things to San Francisco, but when a big event is thrown at this venue, there's no denying it's the place party all night.
