San Francisco was burning with intense activity last Saturday night. Parties where fully packed and pumping with just about every genre of electronic music you could desire. At every location, club or Underground space, San Francisco was fully wrapped up in the madness surrounding LoveFest. Ofer R. checked out two outstanding LoveFest after parties, Tantra @ Somarts and Seismic's After the Love event @ Mighty on Saturday night and here is his review on both.

The First event I hit up after the LoveFest celebration was SEISMIC’s ‘AFTER The Love’ party at Mighty. Being fully pumped and worked up by the festivities at the Civic Center, which was most excellent, I entered Mighty at midnight. The club was full of wonderful people that were smiling with great dispositions; yep, love was in the air. There was no line however the club was fully packed with good spirited partiers. In the main room was the unmistakable sound of Fingerlickin’s one and only duo - Slyde. The duo ripped the room to shreds with their intense funky breaks. After them was The Rogue Element (International Breaks Award "Best Producer" 2006). WOW what a ride! Serious UK breaks heavyweights all around. While the main room was going off, I wondered into the smaller room of the club where DJ MALARKEY was spinning his tunes. This guy was truly grooving a nice genuine seventies funky rhythm. It’s good to hear some original sounds from time to time. Outside was decked out with a Disco Ball pimped out Limo and a big cushioned heart representing the love. I was glad to see that ‘After the love’ there is more sweet love!

In the early hours of Sunday AM, I strolled over to Tantra SF’s event, who put on a Psychedelic Dance Experience LoveFest Afterparty at the SomaArts. Tantra SF brought together a serious global gathering of Psytrance artists. There’s nothing like some good old Psytrance on an eventful early Sunday to wrap up the LoveFest festivities. Some of the artists playing that night were DJ GASPARD, Pixel, Chromatone, Penta and many more… I encourage you to follow these talents, if you like your Psytrance, they will blow you away. The place was full with wonderful artistic people who were down to earth and sweet – great vibe. The party was going off in the Main room and the Psychedelic Room, great colorful neon art on the walls. Very intense sounds system and WOW the music…the music!! This was an event of the ultimate in pumped up Psytrance. Continuously flowing ride, perfectly timed and calculated to keep you shaking like there’s no tomorrow. Tired yet extremely satisfied I danced away into an intense musical journey. Thank you Tantra SF for that perfect gathering! Thanks for all the love from all of the LoveFest attendees. This weekend love was a verb in the amazing city of San Francisco.
