Bonnaroo 2008 Lineup Announced
By: Graham Toben 02/06/08The seventh annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, set for June 12-15, released their lineup today with something for every genre lover out there. Whether you're coming to see the headliners Pearl Jam, Metallica, and Kanye West, or the other 100+ artists that will be playing, this year will be one of the more diverse festivals to date.
Simply put: If you like music, you will like this festival. Fans of Rock can see Pearl Jam and Metallica, fans of Alternative will see M.I.A, Jack Johnson and Death Cab for Cutie, fans of hip hop can check out Kanye West, Talib Kweli, and Lupe Fiasco. Even the dance genre will be making a cameo appearence, with Ghostland Observatory gracing one of the festival stages. Coupled with jam bands, folk singers, or cover bands, there will be something for everyone this year. Other notable names who have agreed to play are My morning Jacket, B.B King, Sigur Ros, Willie Nelson, Ben Folds, O.A.R, and Ozomatli.
Bonnaroo is one of the premiere festivals on the east coast, set on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee. While the emphasis is on the music, festivalgoers can see comedians, browse art, participate in various activities and workshops, or shop at the various vendors booths on the premises. Expect over 90,000 people to attend and camp out throughout the 4-day weekend.
Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, February 16 at 12:00 EST, starting at $209.50, on the official Bonnaroo 2008 website.
