DJ Tiesto in Concert - The Review
By: admin_metrowize 07/30/07It was Saturday night at exactly midnight at the Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco. The 10,000 fans that filled the stadium for the DJ Tiesto Concert were waiting for the man of the hour to hit the stage. The music stopped and the chanting began... "Tiesto, Tiesto, Tiesto!". In a perfectly choreographed entrance, Tiesto appeared as the first bass beat shook the stadium. The wait was finally over, Tiesto was here and he was ready to show the crowd why he is the #1 DJ in the world.
The show lived up to it's billing. Every song, every beat, every mix, all were spot on. 3 hours of hard hitting epic trance from the master himself. At first glance, it might have appeared to be a rock concert... The promoters (Spundae, Skills and Ruby Skye) had certainly done their best to bill it that way as well. Concert level sound, lighting, stage, crowd and performers. Buzz about the event had been building for months and when the moment finally came and DJ Tiesto hit the stage, you couldn't help but forget that he is in fact, just a DJ. While he is just a DJ, he is like no other DJ the world has ever seen. He's played at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Athens, was the first DJ to sell out back to back shows with 25,000 people and has been voted #1 DJ in the world 3 years in a row. He took the crowd on a musical journey like only he can. Huge breakdowns, driving anthems and melodic soundscapes all were perfectly put together one after another. It was a show that will not soon be forgotten in San Francisco.
Tiesto is on tour right now supporting his new "Elements of Life" CD so if he happens to be coming to a town near you, get your ticket now because this is a show you do not want to miss.
