There is a certain hipness that comes with the Four Seasons in San Francisco, but it’s not the kind you think. It's not THE place-to-be-seen, nor is it the swanky decor that makes this one of San Francisco's hip hotels. The Four Seasons is hip because it’s just really really nice. While arguments could be made for the boutique Union Square Hotels, they often don’t have the cash flow to keep everything in tip-top shape. At the Four Seasons, you know everything will be perfect.

Location is key at this Four Seasons. From a tourists perspective, this is the epicenter of all things SF. Very close to Union Square, SOMA, the Convention Center, and Financial District. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is almost no street noise, despite being on Market Street. A club membership to the frou-frou Sports Club LA is included with your stay, (it’s adjacent to the hotel). Many would compare the Four Season’s to the Ritz Carlton, about a mile away. If you are looking for an more opulent experience, with the old school grandeur one would expect in a luxury hotel, then the Ritz is the better option. The Four Season’s makes our list because its near everything in SF, which is likely why you are staying in the city in the first place.
