Book a room at Hotel Adagio

Hotel Adagio is another boutique style hotel on the newly trendy Geary Street. The theme here is Spanish Colonial but the rooms and decor are very modern and hip. Adagio is popular with the downtown and Union Square types and is a good fit for business travellers as much as it is for people on a party mission. Step inside Adagio and you will instantly know why it made our list of hip hotels in SF.

The Adagio is owned by the same group that owns Hotel Vitale on the Embaradero and while the Hotel Adagio is somewhat light on the amenities, the price is usually reasonable (around $200) and the location is great. The award winning Cortez restaurant is located at street level and it is considered one of the top hotel restaurants in the city. Nearby is the Theater district, union square and other touristy spots as well as hot nightclubs like Ruby Skye and cool bars like Swig and Ambassador. The staff and service at Adagio is right on par with all of the other Joie de Vivre properties and although it is located in a bustling part of town, it is quite peaceful inside.
