The Hotel Diva is a boutique hotel in Union Square with personality and charm. It's kid friendly, dog friendly, and of course diva friendly. In a city where hotels are focused on primarily convention business, this hotel has the location of their larger counterparts, with less stuffiness and expense. Close to shopping, eating, partying and drinking spots, it's the perfect fit for our hip hotels list.

The hotel tries hard to differentiate itself, and it does. Most of the hotel is decorated from Design Within Reach, the modern California design firm. There are dogs allowed (under 40lbs.) and there is even a Kids Suite called Little Divas. In San Francisco, there aren't many better hotels for a shopping and/or theater weekend. Conveniently located adjacent to Union Square, the Curran and American Conservatory Theaters are also located directly across the street. There's a work out room, an internet lounge and IPOD's for rent in the lobby. Prices at this hotel stay more consistent than other part of town since the convention goers don't often book large blocks of rooms here.
