Jazz fans, get ready. The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival released their lineup today, featuring myriad artists that run the genre gamut. Whether you're a fan of classic rock, jazz, r&b, world, pop, or country, this year's Jazz fest will not disappoint. It's clear that the festival coordinators swung for the fences with this one, and they have definitely hit a home run with some of the best live performers out there.
No matter which day you choose to attend, the headliners this year are sure to draw an eclectic crowd. Classic artists like Santana and Billy Joel combining forces with newer talent like Keyshia Cole and The Raconteurs will make for a cross-generational and cross-genre concert that Jazz Fest is beginning to become well known for. The headliners for the days are:
April 25: Sheryl Crow, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
April 26: Billy Joel, Keyshia Cole
April 27: Tim McGraw, Al Green, Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint
May 1: Widespread Panic
May 2: Stevie Wonder, John Prine
May 3: Diana Krall
May 4: Santana, The Raconteurs, Neville Brothers, Maze feat. Frankie Beverly.
Even looking past the headliners for the day, you'll find a bevy of incredible talent: The Roots, John Butler Trio, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Bela Fleck, Keb' Mo', Ozomatli, Chali 2na, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and O.A.R, all who are slated to play.
Tickets are on sale through the Jazzfest website, and are a steal: $50 for each weekend, $100 total. VIP tickets are also available for $750.
