This last weekend SF played host to another installment of Thrust with the legendary Lee Coombs and Bassbin Twins rocking the house. The lineup also consisted of Felix the Dog, Syd Gris, Smoove, SoulSalaam, Hoj, Melyss, Mopo, Little John, Moziac and Tamo. Yet another great Opel get together with delicious frequencies for your ears and a great vibe formed by very cool people partying out at one of the hottest clubs in San Francisco. Ofer R. had the pleasure of partaking in this fun party bringing you back the word.

Coombs played his Goa infused breaks set and the crowd responded on the floor with a full attendance. His sound was unmistakable, pounding with heavy acid synths and sweet break beat grooves. Lee is going to be releasing a Lot49 Records compilation in Feb 2008 and he played quite a few of these tracks within his 3hr set. After this party I simply can’t wait for this compilation to come out! Just as I was thinking about the visuals, the bar tender switched the button behind the bar that lowered three huge screens which immediately projected a nice visual show – she read my mind –SWEET. The backroom was open as well as the front of the club, with the party bus parked in front, the sound outside was loud and sharp the music was right up there with Lee’s tunes, great DJ lineup all around anywhere you may have ended up! The party was just happening everywhere that night and the club was not overly full which made for a great party environment. The crowd had a great vibrant warm energy which is always an indication and incredible element of a successful evening, there were many friendly familiar faces of regular attendees of the Opel parties – makes it feel like one big happy family. Mighty is really a gem of a club in San Francisco and a supreme place for the Opel Productions parties.
