The Lightning in a Bottle Festival released their lineup today and it looks to be another great one! If you liked last year's artists, you'll certainly like this year's--many of the 2007 bands are returning for the 2008 edition, along with a few more additions. But no matter whether the bands played before or not, each group will make sure that you party hard, and of course learn about ecologically friendly and sustainable choices.

The festival, which is located 15 miles northeast of Santa Barbara on a 40 acre campground, has touted green partying since 1999, well before festivals like Rothbury, Sasquatch, and Outside Lands even considered it. Along with a great list this year of bands like Yard Dogs Road Show, Stanton Warriors, Bassnectar, Glitch Mob, BLVD, and Kan'Nal, Lightning in a Bottle also hosts forums and discussions on how festival goers can lower their carbon footprint.

If music doesn't suit fans' appetites, festival goers can peruse the custom art that many other festival attendees bring. LIB even encourages their fans to bring their art: "If you have a sculpture that needs to be seen, just bring it out and set it up. If you have an interactive experience that you would like to provide, by all means don't let anything get in your way. Surrounding ourselves in all forms of art is the goal at Lightning in a Bottle, so just go big and make it happen!"

The event will be happening on May 23-26, which Lightning promoters are calling "4 Days of Boom Wow." Tickets are on sale right now at the Lightning in a Bottle website for $140. Camping (which is highly recommended) is included in the price of the ticket.
