ETD Pop

One of the biggest electronic events in the Bay Area, Electro Techno Disco Pop is back again for yet another year of driving beats and palpable energy. This installment, however, will prove to be the biggest ETD Pop event to date, which will be housed in the 20,000-person Cow Palace and will feature world-famous DJs Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Kaskade, and many more. This is an event that people have been looking forward to for the whole year now, and for good reason: this is the only large-scale dance event in the Bay Area that attracts such big names.

Opulent Temple: Dream this Dream

Heavy hitters from Opulent Temple are descending upon Mezzanine to play a benefit party for their self-funded theme camp that is held at the Burningman each year. Syd Gris, Felix the Dog, Smoove, Dirtyhertz, Kramer, Laird, and Dutch are just a few of the 10+ DJs that will be spinning at Mezzanine until the late hours of the night. A $10 donation gets you in and it supports a good cause, so what's the point in not going?

San Francisco Carnaval celebrates is 30th anniversary this weekend in the Mission district, and this one's going to be huge. They're closing off 5 streets for the festivities, which will include everything from a parade to dancing lessons to activities for kids. There will be four stages with music that will play from 10 to 5, and the food, drink, and activity booths will be active from the morning until the early evening.

Based in Montreal, Canada, Turbo (established by e-music superstar Tiga) has quickly become one of the most exciting labels in dance-music, releasing top-notch records by the likes of Boys Noize, Chromeo, Proxy, among others.
