On Friday, February 29th Sunset Promotions & Antennae.net present, “Pirates vs. Clowns”, hosted by 1015 Folsom. This strange, carnival-like event brings together a costumed crowd and an interesting variety of live music and visual artists who take entertainment to a new level to create what sounds like a scene from a Guillermo Del Toro film.

“Pirates vs. Clowns” features The Mutaytor, a 43-piece futuristic carnival that blends music, performance art, and dance to create a surreal, interactive experience. Also performing are Breakbeat stars Uberzone who have remixed Sarah McLachlan to The Crystal Method, and Bassbinn Twins who have recorded on labels Skint, Belgian Breaks, and Southern Fried. This event also features UK talent Kromestar in the Dubstep room, a Mashup room, live art room, and Cirque Berzerk acrobats in the main room. This exciting Leap Day event only happens once every four years, so don’t sleep on this wild and bizarre party.
