The 911 Power to the Peaceful Festival is coming back to San Francisco at Speedway Meadows (in GG park) for it's 9th year on Saturday, September 8th 2007. Presented by musician, filmmaker and political activist, Michael Franti and Guerrilla Management present the Power to the Peaceful Festival also features morning yoga, an open-air art gallery, a healing arts tent, a DJ tent, vendors and food booths, eco village, kid's zone, bicycle coalition, and social, environmental & political organizations tabling & forums.

Past performers to the Power to the Peaceful Festival include; KRS-One, String Cheese Incident, Saul Williams, Keller Williams, Blackalicious, Alice Walker, Ram Dass, Talib Kweli, Amy Goodman, The Coup, Digital Underground, Woody Harrelson, Lyrics Born, Anti-Flag, Jello Biafra and Angela Davis and many others. This year's musical headliners include Michael Franti and Spearhead, Indigo Girls, K'Naan, Hot Buttered Rum, Dj Spooky, Bassnectar and more to be announced.

The Power to the Peaceful event has been gaining strength over the years as not only a musical festival, but a forum for political activism and eco consciousness. On September 8th this year, Speedway Meadows will once again host the annual event. The event is free and good times are guaranteed and you may just learn something too!
