San Francisco Guide to Partying
Name: Ruby Skye
Address: 420 Mason St.
There aren’t many nightclubs in San Francisco where aerial acrobatics, fire breathers, and go-go dancers are the norm, but Ruby Skye is one of them. This 15,000 square foot, two level complex is located right in the heart of Union Square and regularly books the biggest DJ acts in the world.

Every city needs an epic club, complete with lasers, a giant sound system, VJ’s and VIP bottle service. Ruby Skye does a good job of bringing all these elements together and maintaining a good vibe. There are three huge bars and an enormous dance floor. VIP bottle service is available along the balconies on the second floor. On a busy night, it’s a worthwhile expenditure.

The crowd is the clubby type, but still much more dressed down that it’s LA or NY counterparts. The drinks aren’t outrageous considering the scale of the venue, and the sound system rocks. Friday nights vary in style and Saturdays are almost always House music. Keep an eye out for non-weekend events as well. In San Francisco, a city that heavily supports electronic music, Thursdays and Sundays are just as likely to see big acts come to town.
