San Francisco Guide to Sightseeing
Name: ATT Park
Address: 24 Willie Mays Plz (map it)

San Francisco is known for its incredible landmarks, one might not consider ATT Park as a place to "sightsee". Little do many know, however, is that the ballpark is considered one of the most beautiful stadiums in the country, and those who haven’t attended a Giants’ game are missing out on an incredible experience. Even for the casual baseball fan, this picturesque stadium and the gems around the ballpark can make for one fantastic night on the town in San Francisco.

Since 2000, AT&T Park has served as more than just a baseball park to the citizens of San Francisco. While the Giants are indeed the main attraction, the ballpark has made it their number one priority to bring in even the most casual of fans: Inside the park, fans can access free internet from their seats, go for a walk on the promenade that overlooks the San Francisco bay and Oakland, or take their kids to the Kids Zone, complete with a miniature ballpark. Passersby can catch a glimpse of a game in one of the park's free, field-level, standing room only sections. Those daring enough can hop in a kayak and sit in the San Francisco bay in hopes that a ball player will hit a homerun out of the park and into the water (known as a “Splash Landing”).

And don’t think that because you’re going to a baseball park you’re going to be eating bad food. AT&T Park is famous for its stands of Gilroy garlic fries, and on the Club level you can gnash on gourmet pizzas, strawberry shortcakes, and steaks. Or, if you choose to eat after the game, you can check out Momo’s across the street or Acme Chophouse, right next to the stadium. Both restaurants have become fan favorites for a postgame meal.

AT&T Park has made sure that the stadium is for all ages and all types of fans. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of baseball, try heading to a game with a friend. Have a beer and garlic fries at the game and head to one of the many restaurants outside the park after the game for a great start to your night in the city.
