The San Francisco Love Fest (also formerly known as the San Francisco Love Parade) is coming back to San Francisco on September 29th, 2007 for it's 4th consecutive year. This week, the organization released the official float line up and a preliminary roster of the DJ's slated to perform on the floats and at the various parties surrounding the event. From new comers to seasoned veterans on the decks, this year, Love Fest is taking it to the next level and solidifying its place as the number #1 dance party event in America.
It's about time that Love Fest gets the respect that it's due. As it moves into its 4th year, the annual festival has quickly become THE dance music event of North America (sorry WMC). On September 29th hundreds of the worlds best dj's, dozens of floats and tens of thousands of fans will flood the streets and downtown Civic Center of San Francisco to celebrate dance music and dance culture. The parade is the center piece, but all week long the city will play host to dozens of events featuring headliners like Sasha, Ferry Corsten, The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Blank & Jones, Paul Van Dyk, Lee Burridge and many, many more.
The float line ups have been announced, the parties are all scheduled (over 20 this weekend!) and the masses have started to arrive. Love Fest Organizer of Floats and Entertainment, Syd Gris, said "The sheer number and caliber of the talent in that week is unparalleled. Word has been spreading about this event throughout the world and the momentum is still growing."
Of course none of this could be possible without the support of the city. "There is no other city in in the US where this event would be possible." says Syd. "It is a testament to the greatness of San Francisco and our community leaders."
