Restaurants
If it's a romantic evening you're looking for, dinner at a nice restaurant is always a classic way to begin. Whether it's upscale or hole-in-the-wall you're looking for, San Francisco has hundreds of options to choose. Here are our favorites:

2223 Restaurant

For a casually elegant Valentine's evening, take your sweetheart to 2223. Valentine's Day more than any other holiday sees a major dearth in fine-dining reservations – but instead of panicking, those of us who didn’t move quickly enough to get reservations to Foreign Cinema or the Slanted Door can head to this Castro and Market restaurant for real top-notch Californian fusion cuisine at its freshest and most inventive.

Bong Su Restaurant & Lounge

Baraka
Nothing is more romantic than French cuisine, and Baraka will not disappoint. Combining traditional French styles of cooking with eclectic Mediterranean flare, the food will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. The ambiance and candle-lit interior is cozy and romantic, which will fool your date into thinking you grabbed a reservation months in advance. On Valentine's day, Baraka is offering a 5-course prix-fixe dinner for $65 per person.
