The Stern Grove Festival, a festival dedicating itself to providing Bay Areans with admission-free access to diverse performing arts, will be holding their 71st anniversary festival this year at--you guessed it--the Sigmund Stern Grove amphitheater at 19th and Sloat in San Francisco, and is a great place to spend an idle summer weekend. After all, who can turn down free, good music?

Starting on June 15 and lasting for 9 weekends after that, the Stern Grove Festival will host artists representing genres ranging from country to jazz to classical to soul, all for free. The concerts will always start at 2 PM and are a great way to unwind after a crazy Saturday or to relax before the start of the work week. Over 125,000 people will attend a Stern Grove show this year, which means the amphitheater will be a great place to meet new folks and mingle with your fellow San Franciscans.
