They are the few, the proud, the barbacks, and on September 23rd at Ruby Skye, San Francisco’s finest will be competing for fabulous prizes in Fernet Branca's 2nd annual Barback Olympics. Who could have conceived such an awesome-sounding event? None other than nightlife hero Micah Byrnes, which means that all in attendance are guaranteed no less than three alcohol-induced misdemeanors that they will never forget (or regret).

If a night in the drunk-tank isn’t exactly up your alley, then don’t throw in the shot glass just yet. Thanks to event promoters Flavor Group, whose staff consists entirely of people with PhD’s in Kicking-your-ass-with-a-good-time, there will also be a slew of delicious libations, gourmet appetizers, live DJ’s, a custom Fernet T-shirt creation station, tattoos, and a whole lot more. And let’s not forget the actual barbacking: the Barback Gladiators will be competing in a slew of events to test their mettle, such as the Ice Bucket Race, the Beer Restocking Race, and a Secret Final Championship Round.
