Gone are the days of chowing down at your desk, thanks to a crew of dance-loving Swedes who started the game-changing lunchtime dance party, LunchBeat . Their manifesto is simple: if it's your first lunch at LunchBeat, you have to dance. And if it's your second, third or fourth time at Lunch Beat, you still have to dance. Spanning just 60 minutes with a single DJ and takeaway meal, LunchBeat has become globally contagious. And now it's headed to San Francisco with a new midday party dubbed Beats for Lunch.

Taking its inspiration from Lunch Beat and other workday dance parties springing up internationally, the folks behind Sunset Promotions have tasked themselves with a batch of Wednesday parties at Monarch, which kicked off on July 11th with an epic midday party. Upping the ante, they threw down a double dose of DJs to sweat it out on the dance floor from noon till 2pm. As an added incentive, Beats for Lunch dished out free vegetarian Ike's Sandwiches. The best part of all? No Cover charge.

The next Beats for Lunch event is happening at Monarch on Wednesday, August 8th, with Phleck and U9Lift on the ones and twos. Ditch all that lethargic lunching and keep your eyes glued to the calendar for more upcoming Beats for Lunch dance parties. Chances are it'll be the best break from the workweek you've ever had.
