Regarded for its seductive and forward-thinking radio programming, Below Zero is the weekly chill anchor on Energy 92.7. The show features four hours of sophisticated and mood-enhanced tracks including down-tempo groove, future jazz, electronic rock and chilled beats each and every week on Energy 92.7's radio waves, and most recently has moved to a dedicated Internet stream and podcast via Energy's website.

After three years of fending off fan requests asking where listeners can purchase music heard on the show, Below Zero has taken the step of creating the Minus Series with the first installment dubbed 'Minus 1'. Below Zero's Minus 1 features 16 tracks by 16 artists and is a full journey giving you the coolest chillout and downtempo sounds south of the North Pole. Minus 1 is a sensual journey with a few twists and turns by an eclectic assemblage of international artists as well as some San Francisco's top electronic acts and producers. As the series continues, the label will also be releasing select singles from hand-picked artists that capture the essence of Below Zero through the launch of its new label.

Lucky for you, the chilled gurus of Below Zero are issuing a limited amount of physical CD's, in a brand new "slider disc box" that is environmentally friendly as Below Zero is not into putting more plastic into the ground... there is none on the CD's packaging.

Copies are available off Below Zero's website, Virgin Megastore in San Francisco, or all four of Streetlight Records locations. For those who threw out your CD years ago, Minus 1 is for sale digitally right now at Beatport or Streetlight Records online. In the next few weeks it will be available on Amazon and on iTunes and a host of other places.

To kick of the release of Minus 1, come join Below Zero (this Sunday, September 7th from 11 AM - 1 PM) as they team up with Energy 92.7 FM for Fernando & Greg's Recovery Brunch at the JW Marriott in San Francisco and the opening of their new restaurant LEVEL III.

Fernando & Greg will be hosting the event and the music will be provided by all the Below Zero residents (Mason Rothert, Sinukus, Peek, Red Broad and Jeff Stallings).
