THE BEST BEER BARS IN CHICAGO

Quenchers Saloon
2401 North Western Avenue Chicago, IL

Quencher's is a dark looking corner bar with a ton of neon beer signs in the window, in the middle of what may be called a questionable area of the city. The first time we stumbled into this bar we came to see a friend's band, and were awestruck by what more we found. The beer taps line the wall in this small gem of a bar among corporate giants. The choices on the chalkboard written menu were colorful and mostly beers that we had never heard of, but the barkeeps were more than helpful.

We sampled a handful (sour beer is quite interesting,) until finally settling on one of their 24 stouts they had on tap. Quenchers has a divey punk feel, and be prepared to go cross eyed over the 300+ beers. We recommend just closing your eyes and pointing.
