On the roof of the Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, you will find a heated pool at the skyscraper’s edge, vibrating waterbed pods, red Astroturf, unicorn-shaped topiary décor and a toned and fabulous crowd. The pool is free to use for public access most days of the week; cover is required only if there is a special party going on up top, which happens often on Sundays during the summer season.
