The SXSW Music and Media Conference showcases hundreds of musical acts from around the globe on over ninety stages in downtown Austin. One of the most important schmoozing festivals for music industry insiders, SXSW welcomed over 13,000 industry reps and over 2000 performing bands in 2012 alone. Be on the look out for surprise performances announced just a few days before the fest.

The Buku Music and Art Project is New Olreans' answer to Austin's SXSW and WMC. Last year's Buku Project invited many of the biggest names in electronic music and hip hop to the heart of Mardi Gras World for two days of heavy bass music. The Buku Project also hosts a whole series of after-party events with huge talent like Wolfgang Gartner and Plastic Plates for those festival goers who can't help but party into the wee hours of the morning.

After a long run of amazing fests in Avon, Colorado, Snowball has announced a move to Winterpark, Colorado for the 2013 season. With easier access and cheaper accommodations, skiers and snowboarders will delight at this breathtaking experience that combines the best of the beats with huge slices of mountain! As the biggest dance music event in America, Ultra drew a record breaking 300,000 attendees over 2 ridiculous weekends in 2013. Ultra will be returning to Miami in 2014 as a single weekend event, but UMF promises to go harder than ever with all of the most renowned names in EDM and cross-over genres getting in on the action.

Winter Music Conference is the godfather of dance music festivals. As one of the new EDM festivals debuting in 2013, Ultimate Music Experience takes place over three days during Spring Break on South Padre Island, Texas. With a lineup featuring Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Major Lazer and other huge DJs and producers, UME is being called "Spring Break's Largest Electronic Music Festival." UME is kicking off early in 2013 with a pre-party on 3/13 hosted by Dillon Francis & Flosstradamus.
