Once a year, everyone from music snobs to folky hipsters converge on one city-wide event fueled by booze, parties and of course, music. This year's Noise Pop festival has many reasons to hop from show to show each night, drinking in some of the best independent and reunited bands of the past 30 years.
Each year, this event's kick off party has always been the creme-de-la-creme and this year is no different. Come party with Noise Pop and celebrate the beginning of 2012's festival in partnership with SF Beer Week and the California Academy of Sciences on Thursday, February 16th for a party that will bring together a trifecta of awesomeness - brews from all around the Bay Area, posters and art from Noise Pop festivals of yore as well as a live performance from up-and-coming electro sweetheart Class Actress.
A cross between an 80's pop-star and a dark incarnation of New Order, Brooklyn based Class Actress is blazing a trail all her own with fantastic music to boot -- a fate not too easily achieved by her peers. Come see what the fuss is about for a mere $12 from 6-10pm; a low price and an early end time means no if, ands or buts to missing this kick-ass kick off party.
