Bonnaroo announced this week that the festival has added over a dozen musical acts and a full comedy program to the event in 2009. Updates to the line-up include hip-hop legend Public Enemy, and feminist icon Ani DiFranco. Other additions to the line-up are reggae mainstays the Itals and Wailing Souls, the musical duo from Mali - Amadou & Mariam, underground rap superstar Murs, metal heads Shadows Fall and High on Fire, R&B sensation Janelle Monáe, electro soul team Pretty Lights, bluegrass man Tony Rice and indie favs Passion Pit, Hockey and White Rabbits.

Not only has the Festival added to their amazing music line-up, this year Bonnaroo will feature a dynamic set of comics at their seated, air-conditioned comedy venue. The tent, renamed this year as "The Comedy Sweet," will welcome some of comedy's best personalities including late-night host Jimmy Fallon. Triumph the Insult Comic Dog will present "Bonnapoo 2009," a variety show with stand-up, music, clips, unaired material, interviews and insults. "An Evening with The Daily Show" will feature correspondents John Oliver, Rob Riggle and executive producer Rory Albanese. Also making an appearance in the tent will be Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter who will perform ahead of the debut of their new Comedy Central show Michael and Michael Have Issues, Flight of the Conchords regulars Kristen Schaal and Arj Barker, Todd Barry, Nick Thune, Wayne Federman, Nick Kroll, Kurt Braunholder, Amy Schumer, Kumail Nanjiani and Pete Holmes.
