Looking for a little sugar in your life? Well Caña Latin Kitchen & Bar at Town Square maybe just want you need. Located just across from the Rave Theater. "Caña" in Spanish means sugar cane, and with 4,000 square feet to boot, this place is full of sugar and spice. It features a main dining room, a bar and 3 patio decks. The decor is filled with rich deep woods blending an earthy ambiance with modern, chic design. Sugar cane planters and kudzu accents dot the restaurant and floor-to-ceiling windows surround the entire space for an indoor/outdoor feel. The intimate setting is perfect for a night out with close friends or a first date.
The menu is South American featuring small plate selections called “bocadillos", which are similar to tapas and the perfect size for sharing. The signature dish here is ceviche, ranging from scallop ceviche with mango, mint and pomegranate seeds to a mushroom ceviche with lemon, orange and truffle oil. They’ve also created Latin versions of popular American favorites, including habanero jack mac & cheese, chorizo corn dogs with tangerine habanero mustard and guava glazed short ribs.
True to its name, Caña also houses the finest sugarcane-based spirits including many South American wines and beers. Cocktails here are hand-crafted and mixed with freshly squeezed juices upon order. Mojitos, Caipirinhas, the “original” daiquiri and the Hemingway are among their specialties. The restaurant is located at 6599 Las Vegas Blvd. S. at Town Square Mall, and is open til 2:00am every day!
GetWize: Caña brainchild Cory Harwell says their goal is to educate guests on the distinct differences between sushi and ceviche and to introduce guests to delicious new variations of long-standing favorites. Prices at Caña range from $6 to $14. For more information check out the Caña Website or call 702-722-6060.
