Are you tired of Tanq and tonic, moping over those Mai Tai's, bored of Baileys and so done with Drambuie? MetroWize is here with an update to the populars. We're going to show you how to update some of the classics. Think of it as slapping a push-up bra and cherry chap stick on Zooey Deschanel and calling her Katy Perry. This is the guide to new takes on the classics.

The Devil Inside
Let's start with our personal favorite, the Margarita. Sure, it's got lime, triple sec and tequila, but well, it's also got a girls name. No matter how macho you want to be, at the end of the day when you tell your friends you got drunk off margaritas, it's kind of like being on stage in Vegas with your German life partner getting mauled by a white tiger - you know, lame. Next time you're at the watering hole have your bartender spice it up with a floater of bourbon. Then its called a Devil Inside, and after a few, you'll be the one doing all the mauling:

1.5 oz Don Julio Blanco Tequila
.5 oz fresh lime Juice
1 oz Triple Sec
.5 oz of Bulleit Bourbon

Shake tequila, lime juice and triple sec in a pint glass with ice and pour into a hi-ball glass, float a generous amount of bourbon on top and enjoy.

The Lothario
Next we come to the Mojito, or Castro's Revenge depending on what side of the bar you're on. It's mint, lime, rum, sugar and soda and ruined completely by Colin Farrell in the Miami Vice movie. Let's fix things with a shift in the paradigm. Foremost, save the rum for later and switch it out for gin. Prepare as usual and debauch as directed:

10 sprigs of mint
.5 oz fresh lime juice
1.5 oz Sapphire Gin
.5 oz of sugar or simple syrup

Muddle mint, lime and sugar with ice till the mint is shredded. Then fill glass with ice, gin and top with soda water. Garnish with a lime and a smile.
