Sweep the poop deck and get ready to rock out on the open seas as Goldenvoice, the event promoters behind Coachella, have announced a massive new music cruise to compliment their annual festival in SoCal. S.S. Coachella is scheduled to set sale this December, with two separate sessions landing in the Bahamas and Jamaica.

The artist lineup on the S.S. Coachella's maiden voyage is eclectic to say the least - don't expect to find the huge rock bands and world-renowned DJs you see at Coachella's desert festival. Instead, you'll see a healthy collection of popular indie rockers, up and coming beatsmiths and underground DJs rocking the boat from morning to night. Pulp, Hot Chip, Yeasayer, Girl Talk and James Murphy have been announced as the festival's main headliners with acts like Simian Mobile Disco, Z-Trip and Tokimonsta in tow for support.
According to inside sources, "the ship is amazing" and from the look of the promo photos, the sources are right. S.S. Coachella is fully equipped with upscale restaurants, bars, lounges, nightclubs, casinos, pools and plenty of activities to keep you busy while you're not rocking out at the massive indoor auditorium and open air stage.

After the recent success of music-themed cruises like HOLY SHIP! and Jam Cruise, Goldenvoice has decided to take advantage of Coachella's massive success and expand the brand into open waters.
