NIN @ Hollywood Palladium
NIN begins four nights of shows around Los Angeles. After filling the Palladium, the Henry Fonda, and the Wiltern, Trent Reznor will arrive at the Echoplex on Sunday, where he will most likely levitate before hitting his final note.

Patti Smith @ Santa Monica Pier
Patti Smith returns for an encore performance at the Pier. Those who witnessed her (for free!) a few years ago can testify that this lady’s cajones are as heavy as they were in the ‘70s, and she continues to embody that spit-in-your-face American dream.

DANCEiSM @ Lot 613
The time has come for DANCEiSM VI. For this year’s big event, DANCEiSM is bringing in AC Slater and Felix Cartal, who will DJ along with DANCEiSM reps Ben Oprstu, Robot Love, Michael, and SP, as well as Audrey Napoleon, Avi D, DJ Ember, and Team EZY.

F Yeah Fest @ State Historic Park
Venture into the smokey outdoors during daylight. Jive with Glass Candy’s sexy electro, Telepathe’s moody beats, play relays under Dan Deacon’s command, and catch a slew of rising rocking experiments from the likes of No Age, Black Lips, Crystal Antlers, Peanut Butter Wolf, along with comedians Tim & Eric making an appearance.

Culprit Sessions @ The Standard Downtown
Detroit’s queen DJ Magda headlines this week’s Culprit Sessions, alongside Troy Pierce, Kenneth J. Gibson, Clovis, and hosts Droog on the Standard’s rooftop. Gibson is behind Culprit’s latest release, Animals Tonight, which just came out this August.

WET the Pool Party @ Roosevelt Hotel
Homemade takes over the Roosevelt pool for a labor day celebration. Free entry and discount rates to rent rooms around the pool should draw a quick crowd for entertainment by Andy Caldwell, Gabriel Rene, Colette, Jason Bentley, and more. Steve Loria, EC Twins, and DJ Serafin will spin an afterparty at Playhouse after the sun sets.
