Delrosa is the latest Italian restaurant to open up in the Marina and it's been welcomed with open arms by the locals. Not only is Delarosa an amazing spot to get perfectly prepared thin-crust pizzas, but it's also a great place for drinks. You may have noticed the new restaurant, as it has taken over Fuzio’s old spot on Chestnut St. Next time you’re in the area and are looking to try something new, do yourself a favor and checkout Delarosa.
The décor is modern, clean-cut and upscale, and the wait staff is courteous and professional. The seating is community-style, which is great for large groups. Delarosa has an extensive beer and wine list. An amazing artisan cocktail menu helps to keep the restaurant crowded until closing with favorites like the "Swedish Punch", made with rum, brandy, Batavia Arrack, pineapple, lemon, black tea and prosecco, or the "Salty Dog" with vodka, elderflower, grapefruit and salt.
The owner of Delarosa also owns Starbelly in the Castro and Beretta in the Mission. Their roman style, thin-crush pizza has gotten nothing but rave reviews across the board and their antipastos and salads are only prepared with fresh, seasonal produce. If you are looking for something other than pizza, you can choose from paninis, pastas and other delicious entrees. For dessert try some of Delarosa’s handmade doughnuts that come with a specially prepared dipping sauce.
