Auralism & Vessel present Bruno Pronsato @ Vessel
Auralism and Vessel Present a special night of music with Seattle producer and minimal-techno artist Bruno Pronsato. Known for his playful and rigorous work, Pronsato enjoys pulling out cuts that take the dance floor in a new level of motion. Joining Bruno will be Texas born DJ [A]PENDICS.SHUFFLE and Auralism's guys Jason Short and Hac Le. Head over early and enjoy an open Svedka Bar from 9:30 - 10:30.
Daedelus @ 103 Harriet
Experimental music producer and LA DJ Daedelus comes back to SF this Friday and hits up 103 Harriet. Known for pioneering the use of the Monome and Max/MSP for live performances, his high energy show brings together 80's Soul, Electro-Boogie, Early Rap, New Wave and Post-Punk Disco that keeps the dance floor full and rocking all night.
DJ T @ Mighty
Mighty and OM Records team up to bring you a DJ, label owner, producer, club operator and journalist that has been an important part of music for over 20 years, DJ T will be taking over Mighty's Friday Night. Getting his start at playing at private parties and eventually moved to professional gigs in Frankfurt's club Nouvelle where he adopted the name DJ T, he is known for his experiments with 70's and 80's music and bold, expressive sound.
Claude Vonstroke
Dirtybird Records and MEZZANINE present Claude Vonstroke's "Bird Brain" Album release party. Getting his start when he played at a friends birthday party, under the fake name Claude Vonstroke, he has turned into an international success. The Detroit raised DJ eventually started his own record label, "dirtybird" which has released over 20 EPs and become the premier American tech funk label.
Supernatural @ Paradise Lounge
Bringing his free styling skills all the way from NYC, Supernatural has become a big name in the world of freestyle battles. Come see him take the stage with Jern Eye and DJs Mr. E and Sake One keeping you moving on the dance floor. Come early and enjoy drink specials and food by Papalote from 9pm - 10pm.
Dirty South @ Ruby Skye
Australian born DJ, remixer and record producer Dirty South started his mixing career at the age of 13 when he used a 2 deck NEC tape and paused and played tracks from the radio together to create mix tapes to hand out to friends. He eventually upgraded to using his family's computer to create remixes and mashups of other artists tracks. Since, Dirty South has gone on to produce for big named artists and earned the 74 spot in the DJ Mag top 100 Poll.
Buraka Som Sistema @ Mezzanine
Portuguese electronic music group Buraka Som Sistema is known for developing the "progressive Kuduro" known for its uptempo energetic and very danceable sound. Since 2006, the group has been awarded an MTV European Music Award, have released two albums and had a number one hit in Portugal. Head over to Mezzanine this Saturday night to see what all the fuss is about!
DJ Breakfast @ 1015 Folsom
Maryland born DJ, Breakfast was introduced to electronic music when he was just 10 years old, when he heard Daft Punk favorite "Around the World." Soon after he was introduced to trance and never looked back. After giving International DJ star Ferry Costen a demo, Costen began playing the demo in his sets and never eventually signed him to his record label. Don't miss him take over 1015 Folsom this Saturday night.
Andy Caldwell @ Vessel
First coming on the scene in 1994, Andy Calwell's underground club hit "Superunkidiculous"lead him to produce releases for OM Records, Naked Music, and more. Over the past few years, Andy has been touring around the world bringing his deep house and organic jazz-infected grooves with him. Don't miss him this Saturday when he plays at Vessel.
Pulse of the Green @ 103 Harriet
In celebration of The Official Green Festival, 103 Harriet presents; Pulse of the Green, the party benefit's Oakland's Youth Arts & Media Center, established to support community development. Performing in support of the benefit is underground political hip hop duo Dead Prez, known for their confrontational and socialist lyrics. Joining Dead Prez will be founder of the hip hop group Arrested Development, come show your support for $20.
Thunderheirst Live @ 330 Ritch
This Sunday, end your weekend at 330 Ritch where one of Canada's favorite electronic music duo's will perform. Thunderheist began as an accident when MC Isis recorded a rap over a track that producer Grahm Zilla had been working on. Since, the duo released their full-length album earlier this year and gained notoriety from their song "Jerk It" which was featured in The Wrestler. Put your dancing shoes on, because these guys will keep you moving all night.
