Los Angeles doesn't abide by the weather. We get a little winter here, some spring there, but, most of all, we live for the summer. We wait bundled up in scarves next to our space heaters through the rain for sunshine and poolside recreation. Thank goodness, the first inklings of summer have arrived with the announcement of DJ collective Droog's Downtown Los Angeles Standard 6-month rooftop residency.
Book a Room at The Standard Hotel in Downtown LA
Droog a.k.a. Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe; has decided to begin the summer in March. Why not? It should be hot. These daytime parties provide the perfect antidote to a weekend hangover. Nothing feels better than floating in warm water and tossing down some drinks, maybe enjoying a sunburn nap.
Expect some serious DJ talent to visit The Standard's rooftop throughout the summer months, including Magda, Dyed Soundorom, a Dynamic label showcase with Stimming and Solomun, Dinky, Matthew Styles, and Dan Ghenacia, to name a few.
