Temporary Spaces has opened another branch in East Hollywood, bringing some much needed diversity to the LA club scene. Catering more to hipsters and lovers of dance music rather than the Hollywood glitterati, TS2 is a refreshing addition to Los Angeles' nightlife. Attractive young things in black skinny jeans park their track bikes outside and head into the dive-bar meets dance club interior. The decor is what Moulin Rouge would look like if it were plopped down in Brooklyn, mixing pool tables and chandeliers. A semi-outside patio holds a crowd of smokers inhaling their American Spirits, while a window provides Mexican Food for those who took advantage of the $5 cocktails til 11:00 deal.

If you haven't heard of Droog, Droog is a DJ collective of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe who also hold a residency at Avalon and are known for their Standard rooftop parties during the summer. Droog has also recently launched their Label "Culprit", which also happens to be the name of the TS2 parties they hold and DJ at. Their music is an eclectic and refreshing mix of nu-disco, deep house, tech-house, techno and electro.

So this Friday swing by TS2 to check out the latest Droog-sponsored party featuring the Droog trio and England's Ewan Pearson. Droog's parties strive to create "a home for quality house and techno inspired dance music, with uncompromising style and taste, and a place to bring top notch global talent to LA who fall outside of the super club realm", and this Friday promises to be no exception.

So this Friday, slap on your Tom's shoes and American Apparel, hop on your track bike and head on over to TS2 in East Hollywood to check it out for yourself.
