A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about a great party - the Exotic Erotic Ball – and its move to Treasure Island. Well, we had an opportunity to speak with founder Perry Mann yesterday, and usually the guy is over the top. This time, he surprised us – and we don’t surprise easily! So we’re focusing this piece on something besides the party – a truly great deal!

Admission to the Expo is only $20. It's got major burlesque acts like the Porcelain Twinz performing live, an entire arts festival, lots of cool exhibits, celebrities like Danny Bonaduce and Heather Chadwell, panel discussions, film screenings, plus the usual Mann-like irreverence - a penis painter, a human petting zoo, and so on. But on Friday Night – they added 4 great concerts. Top Sonicbids bands Mud, plus The Burning of Rome, the best Motley Crüe tribute band in the country - Carnival of Sin and a headline performance by master bluesman Deacon Jones with the entire John Lee Hooker Band.

Add to that good food and beverage, a spiritual oasis with lotions and potions, a theatre, previews of the Ball, top You Tube celebrities talking shop, a plethora of adult stars, free parking (when do you ever see that?), and all of it - all of it – for only $20 at the door – and so we were sold.

“The Ball” is already widely considered the world's #1 adult-themed party event with live headline entertainment on 5 stages. “The Expo” is now making its mark as a supreme value – for those that cannot make it to the Ball, for those that want to shop for the Ball, or for those on a more limited budget this year.

The two-day Exotic Erotic Expo is open Friday, October 24, 2008 from 2PM to 10PM, and on Saturday, October 25, 2008, from Noon to 6PM. Tickets are bought at the door. Parking is free on Treasure Island, accessible off the Bay Bridge in either direction. Or there is a free shuttle from AT&T Park, where parking is also free.
