Men and women in tights leaping through the air, strangely dressed figures contorting their way amidst the crowds, someone creating images of people before your eyes, the unmistakable din of indie rock, and—a kissing booth? It’s not an LSD trip through Forever 21, but rather Girl Wonder Athletic Productions’ (GWaP) upcoming fundraising event, the Experimental Art Rocktail Party.

GWaP is an online community/multi-media production company that focuses on the positive impact of creativity, and encourages people to do more than just talk about art, but actually get out there and start making it. The Rocktail Party is raising money to begin production on the site’s initial projects, two short films by SF writer Camille “June” Gregoire. If you make it to the event, you’ll be able to see performances by local musicians, purchase old and on-the-spot paintings by Sergio Lopez, and marvel at a multitude of carnival acts and games.
