Come celebrate the "In Order to Form a More Perfect Union...." themed Pride 2009. The Parade and celebration has over 200 parade contingents, 300 exhibitors and more then a dozen community-run stages and venues. With the celebration being the largest gathering of LGBT people and allies in the nation, the Pride Parade in San Francisco is no small deal and the community always goes all out. Faerie Freedom Village (Sunday, 6/28): Hosted by radical faeries, the Freedom Village is an oasis of spirituality, art, music, and love.
HomoHipHop Stage (Sunday, 6/28): Local queer and allied DJs come together to recognize the LGBT presence in the local and international communities of independent hip-hop artists and club DJs.
Regional Latin American Stage (Saturday, 6/27): This stage focuses on Regional Latin American music and features America’s sexiest go-go’s as well as three of the best Latin DJs in the World.
FRESH @ Ruby Skye (Sunday, 6/28): Come see one of LA's hottest DJs Kimberly S. spin the freshest sounds.
Leather Alley (Sunday, 6/28): Check out the real-life BDSM demonstrations and a variety of LGBT leather and SM groups at the Leather Alley.
Main Stage (Saturday & Sunday, 6/27 & 6/28): At the largest stage at the SF Pride event you can catch headliner Solange Knowles and other exciting, up-and-coming talent, and world-renowned performers.
Saturday and Sunday DJ Dance Arena (Saturday & Sunday, 6/27 & 6/28): From hip-hop to house come by and dance to SF's hottest deejays.
Sundance Country-Western Dance Corral (Sunday, 6/28): Promising a great time at the place where Country-Western dancing and the queer community come together.
Tantra Underground Dance Stage (Sunday, 6/28): If you're looking for a showcase of San Francisco underground electronic dance music then the Tantra Underground Dance Stage is your place.
Women's Dance & Performance Pavilion (Sunday, 6/28): An exciting and fast-paced showcase of talent within the Woman's community where you will find live musical performances, burlesque, drag, spoken word and DJs representing a wide array of musical genres.
GetWize: The Pride parade kicks off at 10:30 a.m. at Market St. & Beale and ends at Market & 8th St. in downtown San Francisco. Community Stages and Venues go on from noon to 6 p.m. at the Civic Center June 27th and 28th.
