While for many the end of August means going back to school or the start of the newest season of Project Runway, thousands of others across the world are preparing for a week of radical self-expression at this year's Burning Man. Getting There
Whatever way you make the trip, the epic journey is half the fun. You can search Burning Man on Google Maps and make a road trip with friends, book a flight to Reno airport and take the eco friendly Bio Bus, or just look up an official BM rideshare. However you get there, just make sure it’s done awesomely.

Being There
BM is a veritable sight/sound-gasm with enough events to keep you entranced for about 100 millennia. So, make the most of your visit and be sure to hit up these spots.

Opulent Temple – One of the OG theme camps, these guys have been bringing world-class dance music to the playa for years. You can’t say you’ve been to BM if you haven’t grooved under the fire light to these DJs.

Pink Mammoth – What sums up Burning Man better than a community that was born to continue a legacy? PM is about encouraging people to be completely themselves, so make sure to embrace your inner you when you visit one of their amazing parties.

Surviving There
Remember these simple tips to make sure you survive long enough to come back next year.

• Stay hydrated - Drink one gallon of water per day
• Prepare for both extreme heat during the day and cold at night
• Have a first aid kit on hand
• Sand storms are frequent, so make sure you have a good tent to sleep in
• Most importantly – don’t take candy from strangers
