Halloween 2009 in Los Angeles is going to be a big year for parties and events. The holiday falls on a Saturday this year and Monster Massive, Hard Haunted Mansion, Avalon, Vanguard, Ecco Hollywood and every other spot in town are all ready to contribute to your ghoulish escapades.

10/30 & 10/31 - Hard Haunted Mansion
After a disastrous Hard Summer, there's a lot of Hard to make up for. Two nights of some of the biggest names in electro seems a good strategy. Deadmau5 headlines Friday and Justice on Saturday, with Basement Jaxx, Modeselektor, Crookers, 2ManyDJs, A-Trak and more filling the space between.

10/30 & 10/31- Heaven & Hell
Celebrating its 16th anniversary, Heaven & Hell will attempt to be environmentally sound by shacking up at Ecco. Heaven falls on Friday and "Hell" will rise on the day of the dead, hosted by Mehcad Brooks and the cast of HBO's True Blood. 10/30 - Halloween Pre-party
Only the VIPs will get on the roof but with open bar and free sushi, everyone can get freaky at the Kress and enjoy a live performance by the wacky Dr. Hollywood. Costumes are required. Book a room and prepare for the main event.

10/31 - Cirque Kress
A road map may be necessary to navigate the Kress, as the whole place will be overtaken by music. Hip hop in the basement, mash-ups on the roof, disco on the 1st floor and electro in the lounge. Win $1000 dollars for a great costume. Open bar from 8-11 pm.

Boulevard 3
10/31 - The Black Pearl
The Main Ballroom becomes the legendary 17th century pirate ship, The Black Pearl. Huge masts, sails, shrouds, gaff & rigging will drape the dancefloor. The Library will be transformed into the Treasure room, filled with Pirates bounty. Enter through the Garden Port, a Pirate's Cove complete with skeletons, bounty, plunder, jail, and sexy wenches. DJ Sleeper, the official remixer for the Kanye West/Lady Gaga tour, spins all night—with the exception of a 30-person midnight stunt performance.

Hollywood Highlands
10/30 - Beacher’s Madhouse Costume Ball
Monkeys, stilt walkers, little people, and gorgeous dancers are promised at this wild event. “Combine Cirque Du Soleil, Girls Gone Wild, Carnival in Brazil, a modern day sideshow,” and what we have is a reason to make sure no one slips something in your drink. Get tickets here.

10/31 - Official Playboy Lingerie & Costume Ball
For its 8th year, the Highlands invites you to come party in your (sexiest) underwear. Playmates Brande Roderick, The Ikki Twins, and Ashley Massaro host with with a posse of international bunnies. DJs/Playmates Crystal Ellis, Rhiannon, and Summer Altice will get you dancing, along with DJ Graham Funke and The Prophecy. The red carpet unfurls at 9 pm.

Vanguard
10/30 - Halloween Monster Bash
The 7th annual event at Vanguard is probably one of the only places you can get in free...before 10:30 pm. The details are murky but surely a spooky evening of dancing and drinking wearing ghoulish costumes should be expected.

Egyptian Theater
10/31 - King Tut's Tomb
Spending Halloween at the Egyptian Theatre’s Courtyard doesn't seem that cool, until you imagine Right Said Fred singing "I'm Too Sexy" on King Tut's head. That's at least worth being there at midnight to see. The area will be transformed into a nightclub setting with DJs and prizes.

10/31 - Ghostly Equestrian Ball
