Oh yeah, there was music, great music actually. Hangout, (at least this year), stuck to a heavy roots rock and jam band line up, but there was a lot of new and notable music as well. The Letting Go Stage was probably our favorite spot to be over the weekend, with acts like Young The Giant, Dawes and Cage The Elephant as highlights. The X Box Stage was primarily the DJ stage, STS9 was great and Skrillex, while not a personal fave, was insanely popular. On the beach, String Cheese played a great jammy 2 set show, Chris Cornell still has an amazing voice, and Gogol Bordello was a gypsy mosh pit. Dave Mathew’s Band closed out the festival with a three hour show.

Lastly, we ran into Raychel, the winner of our Hangout Festival Giveaway, she had a hoola hoop and a big smile. Happy to spread some festival love. We’ll be giving away tickets to festivals all over the country all summer, sign up here. See you next year in Alabama y’all.
