HARD 13 is back for 2010, and it's going to be bigger, better, and harder than 2009. Last year the SoCal based HARD team brought in Boys Noize, Diplo, Erok Alkan, L.A. Riots, Lil Jon, Shadow Dancer, D.I.M. and destructo for their first ever "Hard 13" series. The lineup for this year's HARD 13, taking place on Saturday, March 13th, is going to be just as great, with more artists being added as we near the date. The HARD team, BoysNoize Records and Mad Decent have already gotten a hold of the UK's Fake Blood, Jack Beats, Boy 8 Bit, and Destructo, guaranteeing a night of amazing music coupled with HARD's signature audio-visual productions.
HARD threw their first party three years ago in Southern California on Gary Richards', aka Destructo's, birthday, which also happens to fall on New Years Eve. Since then HARD events have taken over the electronic music scene, throwing one night festivals famous for epic parties, all-night dance sessions, live acts where DJ's blend musical genres, mixing hip-hop and rock with electronic. This year they decided to hold HARD 13 at Club Nokia in Downtown LA, respite with 2 dance floors, 2,300+ of your closest friends and state-of-the-art acoustics. The event will go from 8:00pm-4:00am on March 13th with all ages welcome. Check back with us to see who else is added to the lineup. Tickets are currently going for $31.50 with prices rising, so buy tickets to HARD 13 before they sell out!
GetWize: HARD got its name from DJ Steve Aioki. When deciding what to name their parties, Aioki suggested "hard on". Gary Richards thought it was too crass, so he shortened it to "hard". Who knew.
