HARD NYC 2010
NYC Likes It HARD: HARD NYC Taking Place April 3rd

HARD NYC is back New Yorkers, and it's going to be bigger, better, and harder than 2009. Last year the SoCal based HARD team brought in the Crookers, Major Lazer, Rusko, Jack Beats and Destructo to rock Terminal 5, expanding their LA-based dance music festivals to the East Coast. The lineup for this year's HARD NYC, taking place on April 3rd, is even better. Boys Noize, Major Lazer, Buraka Som Sistema, Proxy, and Destructo will be on hand to guarantee a night of amazing music coupled with HARD's signature audio-visual productions.

HARD threw their first party three years ago in Southern California on Gary Richards', aka Destructo's, birthday, which also happens to fall on New Years Eve. Since then HARD events have taken over the electronic music scene, throwing one night festivals famous for live acts where DJ's blend musical genres, mixing hip-hop and rock with electronic. Last year was the first HARD festival in NYC, and the vibe is a little different from some of the HARD parties thrown on the West Coast. Instead of taking over concert halls that hold upwards of 18,000 people, they decided to hold HARD NYC at Terminal 5, which holds 2,800 people, to make it a more intimate event where the crowd can interact on a personal level with the DJ's.

HARD NYC will be taking place at Terminal 5 and will start at 8:00pm on April 3rd. Buy tickets to HARD NYC before they sell out!

GetWize: HARD got its name from DJ Steve Aioki. When deciding what to name their parties, Aioki suggested "hard on". Gary Richards thought it was too crass, so he shortened it to "hard". Who knew.
