First conceived 4 years ago, Hennessy artistry has been an emphatically successful venue, both internationally and locally, in showcasing the art of blending the best cognac in the world with the best music in the world, by combining tradition with trendy innovation. Now into its third year in Singapore, Maison Hennessy will be bringing the 2010 iteration of Hennessy artistry Powerhouse, St. James Powerstation on Friday, 4th June. As per the tradition of Hennessy’s “The Global Art of Mixing”, this event will bring together the best of local, regional and international acts for one night only. Hennessy artistry 2010 is boasting a “Bigger, Bolder and Better format” this year and who are we to argue when the talent involved this year is as downright smashin’ as it is.

This exclusive party will showcase the best local and regional Hip Hop and R&B talents. Holding fort behind the DJ console are Singapore’s very own DJ KoFlow, DJ Rough and Kevin Lestor. Complementing the music maestros are Beatboxer Dharni (runner up in World Beatboxing Championship), Bamrah Brothers (adding tempo and beats with their percussions) and the artistically inclined MC Rosh G. Rounding up the bill will be international highlights Summer Daniels and DJ Tempo from Speaker Junkies and DVJ.G Mix from Malaysia. Performing for the first time in Singapore, Speaker Junkies will be churning out the coolest mash up of electronic sounds that will keep the crowd going. What’s so vividly unique about these So-Cal sound alchemists are their “live” sets, performed with a vocalist, drummer, DJ and keyboard - ever pushing and blurring the lines between live and electronic music. Sounds like a potent mix to me.
