Hot Chocolate Festival at City Bakery

From 7:30am to 7:00pm each day in February, City Bakery (3 West 18th Street, Manhattan, 212-366-1414) offers a different, special hot cocoa blend to warm up customers as part of its 19th annual Hot Chocolate Festival. Because these range from one-additional-flavor tweaks to more strangely mysterious ones, fans of the straightforward hot beverage may want to look elsewhere!

So far, over the first week of February, they've served unique, hand-crafted hot chocolate varieties such as Banana Peel, Espresso, Cinnamon, Tropical, Caramel, Super Bowl, and Earl Grey Tea flavored. This week, watch for Lemon, Fresh Ginger, Darkest Dark, and Creamy Stout varieties, too. Each large-sized beverage will cost you $5 per cup.

Map out your month by checking the full online calendar for each day's offering before you go. We at Metrowize are admittedly looking forward to finding out what the mysterious "Love Potion," "Moulin Rouge," "Sunken Treasure," "Ode to the Polar Bear," and "Happy" flavors will entail.
