With a bevy of restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs dotting Los Angeles, famed king of luxury, Sam Nazarian, has just recreated his ever-star-studded Sunset-Strip lounge, Hyde, inside of STAPLES Center—but this time with a twist: Spectacle. Replacing a total of eight boxes on suite level C, the 4,000-square-foot venue boasts two salons, a dance floor, and a private room with rosewood walls and floating LCD TV screens. Much like its sister location, the lounge is equipped with Nazarian’s signature opulence: brandy-colored leather couches snake around glossy carved-wood tables, ceilings adorned with onyx, mirror, and gold tile reflect the flickering candles below, and even the seats overlooking the court are custom embroidered with Hyde’s branchy insignia. Guests can snack on sushi selections from Katsuya, another of Nazarian’s creations, recently opening its fourth location at nearby L.A. Live. Bottle service, tableside mixology, and signature cocktails complete the VIP experience—the perfect place to nestle in for a game or concert and stay for afterhours.
Hyde’s soft lighting, warm hues, and intimate setting can be misleadingly inviting. While such young Hollywood notables as 90210’s AnnaLynne McCord and High School Musical’s Zac Efron have reportedly already passed through, the lounge is only open to suite owners and court-side seat ticket holders for the first year, after which a membership will be available. An event ticket to enter STAPLES Center and a custom wristband are required for entry.
