There is only one Master Sake Sommelier in the whole of the United States. Yuji Matsumoto is traveling around the various Kabuki Japanese Restaurant locations throughout July to inculcate worthy pupils in Sake wisdom and history. Matsumoto’s hand-crafted sake cocktails will be paired with dishes by executive chef Masa Kurihara. Taking the event up a notch, guests can compete in blind sake tasting for prizes. Since this is a traveling affair, each “Sake Night” consists of two seatings per evening open to 20 participants. One seating is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and second takes place from 8:30-9:30 p.m.
