This week, Personality Hotels, San Francisco's largest collection of boutique hotels announced the completion of a $2 million guestroom restoration of the Kensington Park Hotel. Nestled in the heart of San Francisco's Union Square, the hotel - built in 1925 is a blend of old-world glamor and modern luxury.

All 92 guestrooms were renovated with a mix of classic elegance with a modern touch. Dark wood furnishings, silk drapery and beds with white leather headboards define each room's aesthetic. Each room also features a 36" flat screen and iPod alarm clocks for your entertainment and convenience. Because who doesn't want to watch Slumdog Millionaire on demand or listen to their favorite 'dance party' playlist while on vacay?

The hotel also features a "Royal Suite" inspired by famed European home Neuschwanstein, the 19th century Bavarian palace built by King Ludwig II for German composer Richard Wagner. The suite features a master bedroom with a canopy bed, formal dining room, whirlpool bath, two fireplaces and outrageous views of Union Square. By the way, in case I didn't already convince you that this suite is totally sweet, there is ZEBRA carpeting and POLKA DOT curtains.

Tea time is 4-6 p.m. in the lobby and wireless internet is provided throughout the hotel so you can keep up with your inbox. In case you're in the mood for a play, Post Street Theater, is located on the second floor. Or if you're hungry for something fresh out of the ocean, Farallon, San Francisco’s most highly-regarded seafood restaurant, is next door to the hotel. Union Square is known for it's upscale and limitless shopping, world-class restaurants and nightlife.
