There was a time in San Francisco when hard edged dance beats could be heard coming from some of the biggest nightlife spaces in San Francisco. Psy Trance and Hard Trance were arguably as much of a San Francisco staple as house music back in the late 90's and early 2000's. Clubs like Space 550, DNA Lounge, 1015 Folsom and others had regular events that focused on the harder side of dance music. Times have been changing though and the prevelance of places to hear good, hard techno (and we use techno as a blanket term for electronic based music) are few and far between. Julian Reyes and Keyframe Entertainment are out to change all that one hard beat at a time.
Keyframe is a multi-faceted record label, consulting and artist management company that bridges both underground culture and the mainstream, it showcases a selection of San Francisco's most unique DJs, producers, and events. Keyframe's mission is to function as a portal creating prosperity for the International Dance community. Whether hosting events at the Playboy Mansion, contributing to Burning Man or throwing down at the WMC in Miami, Keyframe's main objective is always to expose Bay Area underground music to the masses and support all of it's artists in the process. Keyframe works closely with the Burning Man sound camp Coda and is planning to contribute to their 2008 Lovefest float.
Keyframe Entertainment works with many DJs in multiple genres, exclusively manages DJ / Producer Jason Knight and is the International booking agent for Trevor Simpson.
This upcoming Saturday (July 26th), Keyframe invites you to celebrate the relaunch of the company by enjoying a plethora of excellent DJs and Free Entry Before 11pm. The music will be true to Keyframe form... Hard. There many destinations for dance music in our city, if you want a sound with a HARDER edge, then you found the right place!
